Cixi takes lead in establishing recycling system of renewable resources

It was learned days ago from the Jianshang Renewable Resources Recycling Center that the redevelopment of the center has been basically completed. The center covers 600 m2, complete with office buildings, storage area, parking lot and reception room. “The sewage from the center will be discharged via special pipelines”, said the leader of the center. Cixi has taken the lead across the country in establishing the county-level renewable resources recycling system. Six regional recycling enterprises will be established to form an industrial chain of circular economy.
It was learned that Jianshang Renewable Resources Recycling Center is a center established at the Gutang Street by the Cixi Baotong Renewable Resources Co., Ltd. As the first recycling enterprise in Cixi, the enterprise will be responsible for the recycling business in Gutang, Kandun and Chongshou Town.
Recycling and reuse of renewable resources is a major development pattern of modern circular economy, but the industry in Cixi is confronted with various problems: lack of public awareness, low participation rate, backward industrial layout, insufficient support funds, low utilization rate of the renewable resources, etc. To further improve the layout of recycling outlets of the city and establish a modernized network of renewable resources recycling, based on the planning of regional renewable resources recycling and the current layout of key enterprises in different regions and economic clusters, six regional companies will be set up, every three towns (streets) to have one company.
“Small companies are likely to have low efficiency and cause secondary pollution due to the small size and low technological level”, said GM Jin Yintu of the Baotong company. The company will rearrange the recycling outlets in the region and conduct standardized management of the outlets and the mobile vehicles. It’s expected that they will be able to recycle 200,000 tons of renewable resources each year.
It’s learned that the other five regional recycling enterprises will have the registration completed lately and will have the outlet layout completed. The six companies will establish a total of 200 recycling outlets, so as to form a recycling network that covers each community and provide guarantee for the industrial chain of circular economy.
