Urban per capita disposable income reached 34,058 yuan in 2011

News came from Ningbo Survey Group of the National Statistics Bureau on January 21 that according to a sample survey of 600 households, the per capita disposable income of urban residents in 2011 reached 34,058 yuan, up by 12.9% over the previous year.

In terms of the income composition, all incomes but property income increased. Specifically speaking, the per capita salary income amounted to 24280 yuan, an increase by 11.5% over the previous year. It is still the decisive factor of the income increase by accounting for 57.1% of the increase in disposable income and contributing 62.7% to the family total income. The per capita business income reached 3997 yuan, an increase of 21.0% over the previous year, contributing 10.3% to the family total income and accounting for 15.8% of the increase in disposable income. The per capita property income reduced to 1439 yuan, down by 31.3% over the previous year, accounting for 3.7% of the family total income and accounting for negative 14.9% of the increase in disposable income. The per capita transfer income amounted to 9003 yuan, up by 25.8% over the previous year, accounting for 23.3% of the family total income and contributing 42.0% to the increase in disposable income, which enabled it to stand in the second place among all the composing elements of the total income.

Another sample survey of 1000 rural households made by the group showed that in 2011 the rural per capita net income in Ningbo reached 16,518 yuan, an increase of 15.8% over the previous year.

In terms of income sources, the major characteristics of the change are as follows. Firstly, the salary income experienced a sustained and rapid growth, with the per capital salary income reaching 9667 yuan, up by 19.0% over the previous year. Secondly, the per capital business income reduced to 3914 yuan, down by 5.3% over the previous year. Thirdly, the non-business net income increased significantly to 2937 yuan, an increase of 46.6% over the previous year
