Noise-reduction campaign put in place during Gaokao period

The Municipal Urban Management Bureau started a noise-reduction campaign to ensure the most peaceful atmosphere possible for the students sitting National College Entrance Examination starting from June 4, the opening day of the examination.
The urban management department carried out an inspection in areas around exam venues to forbid street sellers and illegal parking. Meanwhile, noisy barbecue stands and snack stands are strictly banned. The urban management sector also steps up supervision on nearby construction sites and forbids illegal construction waste disposal. They also require constructors of municipal public facilities and metro system to take noise control measures and avoid disturbing the exam candidates.
