Ningbo released a three-year action plan in large projects of city management

On March 27, Ningbo Municipal Government held a press conference, and released a three-year action plan in large projects of city management. In the coming three years, Ningbo is to start 24 large projects in city management, which involve eight fields in flood control, afforestation, sanitation and water supply and drainage and so on. The total investment in the projects amounts 24.5 billion yuan. Many of the projects are part of the Water Treatment Project.
According to the 3-year plan, Ningbo will have the water quality of all rivers reach Class Four in 2016, and the targets of treatment of the rivers shall be realized.
In water saving, by 2016, Ningbo should pass the re-examination for a national water saving city. The water consumption per 10,000 yuan production shall be 50% lower than the average of the country; the rate of unconventional water uses shall be greater than or equal to 30%; the popularity rate of water saving utensils shall reach 100%; the leaking rate of water supply pipe lines shall up to the national standard; the water recycling treatment capacity in central urban areas shall reach 310,000 tons per day.
