Ningbo ranks 8th in assessment of wenming cities

The other day, the results of the assessment of the national wenming cities and the work of moral education of the young was announced. In the assessment of wenming cities, Ningbo ranks the 8th of the provincial capital cities and quasi-provincial cities. In the assessment of the moral education of the young, Ningbo ranks the 10th of the provincial capital cities and quasi-provincial cities. With the good results, an authority of Ningbo Wenming Office said at the news conference that these achievements were indispensible with the hard work of all the people of Ningbo City.
"The results of the assessments show that Ningbo is in the front rank in public morality and it has made improvements after it had been honored as the wenming city for successively three years," said the same authority. This is a result of the concerted efforts of all the people of Ningbo and it is a success of the principles of "for the people, benefit the people and rely on the people" that Ningbo has follows for the construction of the wenming city.
In the time to come, Ningbo will take various ways to seek the opinions of the public for the construction of a wenming city so as to make the construction a serving-the-people project with the participation of all the people.
This year is the first year of a new round of the construction of a National Wenming City. Entrusted by the Central Wenming Committee, the State Statistics Bureau made assessments of 127 wenming cities and candidates for the wenming cities for the indicators of social culture and the moral education of the young. The assessments were made by the professional investigators appointed by the State Statistics Bureau and the assessments adopted methods of on-the-spot investigation, documents examination, household interviews and on-line investigations. The assessments of Ningbo were made from September 4 to 6.
