Ningbo Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention releases report of cancer 2013

For the Week of Cancer Prevention and Treatment from April 15 to 21, on April 20, Ningbo Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention released a epidemic report of cancer for 2013. The report shows that the incidence of malignant tumor in 2013 levels that in the past years, with lung cancer, lever cancer and gastric cancer ranking the first three of the malignant tumors that cause death. The report warns the citizens to have healthy living to prevent malignant tumors.

According to the report, in 2013, the city is reported to have 21116 cases of malignant tumors, leveling the numbers of cases in the past years. The top six cancers are lung cancer, gastric cancer, thyroid cancer, colon cancer and breast cancer, covering above 60% of the total cases.

The report says that malignant cancers are with correlated with lifestyle. Tobacco is so far the most definite canceriginite and about 80% of lung cancers are caused by long smoking. Excessive drinking adds burden to the levers, make damages to the metabolic functionality of the levers and therefore cause several cancers, lung cancer in particular.

All in all, such factors as virus infection, smoking, unhealthy lifestyle, irrational eating, environmental pollution, and excessive mental pressure are causes of malignant cancers.
