Ningbo imports and exports set a new high

It is learned from Ningbo Customs that in September the import and export volume of Ningbo reached 58.3 billion yuan, up by 5.9% over the previous month, hitting a new high in 2015. To be specific, the export volume stood at 42.93 billion yuan, up by 4.5% and the import volume, at 15.37 billion yuan, up by 9.9%.
Statistics from Ningbo Customs show that the total import and export volume of the first three quarters reached 456.26 billion yuan, down by 5.6% over the same period of last year, including 132.68 billion yuan for import, down by 9.5%, and 323.58 billion yuan for export, down by 3.8%.
According to experts, the current foreign trade situation is complex. Take the TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement). For the first three quarters, Ningbo's import and export volume with TPP countries reached 172.57 billion yuan, accounting for 37.8% of the total.
In terms of exports, in the first three quarters, the export volume of the high-tech products stood at 20.04 billion yuan, up by 1.1% over the same period of last year, 4.9 percentage points higher than that of the export volume of all products. The export of some labor-intensive products in the first three quarters was brisk. For example, the export of toys grew by 8.4% over the same period of last year.
