Ningbo Free Trade Zone accelerating construction of imported food distributing center

After the success of building the imported wine market, Ningbo Free Trade Zone has taken another step in building demonstrative international trade zones: a market of imported food of over 100 varieties opened on March 28.

It is reported that the project of the building of imported food has started. The first phase of this project has an area of 14,000 sq m  and it will be open in June this year.  With over 30 importing businesses on the market, it will be a quite influential distributing center of imported food.

The building of imported food opened on March 28 covers an area of 1,200 square meters. It has imported food from dozens of countries and regions: fruits from Southeast Asia, snacks from South Korea, olive oil from Spain and milk powder from Holland.

So far 10 importing merchants have settled in the market. One of them is Ganglong Fruit Company, which imports 13 fruits imported from USA, Chili and Australia.

The secured import channels and preferential price  makes Ningbo Free Trade Zone a perfect place for imported goods. Taking the market of imported wine for example, in the past years, the transaction volume amounts to 8.91 million litres, making it China's largest professional real market of imported wine.
