Why is it increasingly more difficult for the enterprises to recruit employees? Why are there fewer young employees in factories? 2015 Ningbo Human Resources Report issued by Ningbo Municipal Employment Services Bureau tells the changes in the past two years.
Migrant workers account for 50%
The total number of the workers of Ningbo was 6.365 million in 2015, down 0.61% compared with 20147. This is a drop for the third consecutive year.
The number of local workers was 2.818 million, down by 41,000 compared with 2014 while the number of migrant workers was 3.546 million, up 2213.
The male workers in Ningbo account for 56.48% while the female workers take up 43.52%, showing that the number of male workers is much higher than female workers.
Among the local workers in Ningbo, the number of female workers over 40 and the male workers over 50 is 1.022 million respectively, accounting for 36.26% and up 0.38% compared with 2014. Among the migrant workers in Ningbo, the number of the workers over 46 of age increased by 7.1 thousand to 71.8 thousand, up 1.98%.
