Gaokao kicks off

This year, there are 37 Gaokao test spots and 1393 test rooms in nine test centers in the downtown area (Haishu District, Jiangdong District, Jiangbei District and the High-tech Zone), Zhenhai District, Beilun District, Yinzhou District, Cixi County, Yuyao County, Fenghua County, Ninghai County and Xiangshan County. A total of 38,500 high school graduates are enrolled for the Gaokao examination, a reduction of 5000 candidates over last year.
