EU delegation inspected quality safety management for aquatic products exported from Ningbo

It is learned from Ningbo Inspection and Quarantine Bureau that from November 7 to 8, the EU FVO inspection delegation visited Ningbo and inspected the quality management for aquatic products exported to Europe.
It is understood that the delegation conducted on-site inspections to the official monitoring system for Ningbo's aquatic products exported to Europe and the CIQ lab after being informed of the sanitation aspect of the export aquatic products. Besides, they also visited two related enterprises, listened to the reports from the enterprises, checked the plant workshops and manufacturing records.
As an institute of EU Committee, the FVO, or EU Food and Veterinary Office, is responsible for ensuring the whole production chain of the food exported to the EU by member countries or other exporting countries meet the EU's demands and related regulations for food safety.
The EU has always been an important target market for Ningbo's export of aquatic products. there are 9 registered aquatic products enterprises for export to the EU. In the first ten months of this year, the export of aquatic products reaches 10,000 tons, with a total value of $50 million, up by 10% over the same period last year.
