Added value of equipment manufacturing exceeding 100 billion yuan

It is learned from Ningbo Municipal Economic and Information Technology Committee that in 2014, the equipment manufacturing in Ningbo achieved an industrial added value of about 105.5 billion yuan, up by 11.1% over the previous year, accounting for over 40% of that of the large-scale industries in Ningbo. This is the first time for the added value of equipment manufacturing to break the 100 billion-yuan mark.
Since the beginning of 2014, enterprises in Ningbo have started close cooperation with local scientific research institutions to develop new technologies, and equipment manufacturing enterprises have carried out the automated (intelligent) complete equipment cultivation pilots in cooperation with some application enterprises. The construction of the new equipment industrial development platforms has accelerated, such as the Ningbo Industrial Base of CSR and Beilun High-end Equipment Industrial Park, and the high-end equipment manufacturing industry has witnessed rapid advance.
According to the "Development plan for high-end equipment manufacturing in Zhejiang Province (2014-2020)" recently issued by Zhejiang Provincial Economic and Information Commission, by 2020, the output value of the high-end equipment manufacturing in the province will exceed 1100 billion yuan, accounting for 25% of the equipment manufacturing industry. The plan will greatly benefit the high-end equipment manufacturing in Ningbo. "In 2015, we will further the structural adjustment of the industrial economy, and make sure that the equipment manufacturing industry, the strategic emerging industry and the high-tech industry grow faster than the large-scale industry above the designated size." said a person in charge from Ningbo Municipal economic and Information Technology Committee.
