Activities in Forum on Ningbo-Hong Kong Economic Cooperation

On October 14 to 17, opened 11 special activities of Forum on Economic Cooperation of Ningbo and Hong Kong 2013. Lu Ziyue, Vice Secretary of Ningbo Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor of Ningbo, Vice Mayor of Ningbo Hong Jiaxiang and Wang Jianshe, secretary-general of Ningbo Municipal Government, attended the special activities.
The Forum on Economic Cooperation of Ningbo and Hong Kongon Economic Cooperation of Ningbo and Hong Kong 2013 is themed on "Deepen the Practical Cooperation". It aims to expand the fields of cooperation, innovate the way of cooperation, involve the greater participation of enterprises of the two places, improve the investment and talent invitation through the forum, and promote the cooperation and exchanges of the tow places. After the opening ceremony, 11 special activities took place. These activities are: conference of the conference and exhibition industry of Ningbo and Hong Kong, summit of entrepreneurs of Ningbo and Hong Kong, meeting of innovating investment and financing of Ningbo and Hong Kong, information meeting of the development of modern service industries of Ningbo, meeting to introduce hi-end talents, meeting of promotion of the national pilot import trade zone and Ningbo Import Commodity Market in Ningbo Free Trade Zone, symposium of education of Ningbo and Hong Kong, meeting of cultural and creative industries of Ningbo and Hong Kong, symposium of innovative printing of Ningbo and Hong Kong, exhibition of selected collections of Tianyi Pavilion, and Exhibition of Electronic Products of Ningbo in Hong Kong Autumn Fair of Electronic Products.
On the afternoon of October 14, Lu Ziyue paid a visit to Mr. Li Dak Sum, First President of Hong Kong Association of Ningbo Provincials, and Honorable Ningbo Citizen. Li Dak Sum is over 90, a representative of the older generation of the Ningbo Overseas Merchants. He has devoted all himself to the public welfare and he has high prestige among the Ningbo overseas merchants. Talking with Li Dak Sum, Lu Ziyue said that Mr. Li is the honorable elder of the Ningbo overseas merchants, a noble personality, that he has persistent support to the construction of Ningbo, not only in generous donations of materials, but also in offering suggestions. The people of Ningbo will never forget his great contribution to Ningbo. Lu Ziyue said that Ningbo needs the great support and participation of the Ningbo overseas merchants and the people concern about the development of Ningbo, and that he hopes that the societies of Ningbo provincials in Hong Kong would go on making greater contribution to the prosperity of Ningbo and Hong Kong.
The Forum on Economic Cooperation of Ningbo and Hong Kong 2013 offers more fields in cooperation, and the special activities are more professional and practical.
At the meeting of the conference and exhibition industry of Ningbo and Hong Kong, Hong Kong Exhibition Industry Association made a report of the experience of Hong Kong in the exhibition industry and Ningbo Municipal Office of Conference and Exhibition Affairs made an introduction of related policies of Ningbo for the conference and exhibition industry. The attendants to the meeting had discussions on the subjects of cooperative projects, information of conferences and exhibitions and the invitation for conferences and exhibitions.
During the Forum on Economic Cooperation of Ningbo and Hong Kong, there took place such activities as the symposium of education of Ningbo and Hong Kong, the meeting to introduce hi-end talents, and the meeting of innovating investment and financing of Ningbo and Hong Kong.
