Foreign trade volume of January to April stands at 187.7 billion yuan

It is learned from Ningbo Commission of Commerce that the foreign trade volume of the first four months this year in Ningbo stands at 187.7 billion yuan, down by 0.8% over the same period of last year. The statistics show that the foreign trade situation still needs improvement, however, the traditional markets are picking up.
"Compared with the previous months, the European market is picking up in April, and the orders from the EU increase by 20% over the last month. Clients from Germany, Italy and Spain are not as demanding in prices and we are expecting a better transaction." said Mr. Liu, Manager of a garment enterprise in Jiangbei District.
The export volumes to the top three traditional markets (the EU, the US and the ASEAN) are 34.38 billion yuan, 27.46 billion yuan and 9.45 billion yuan, up by 4.5%, 16.7% and 14.8% respectively, accounting for 54.7% of the city's total export volume.
In terms of the products, the mechanical and electric products rank at the top, with an export volume of 71.15 billion yuan, up by 6.2%, accounting for 54.6% of the total export volume.
With the acceleration of the enterprises' internationalization, the E-commerce services are developing in Ningbo, becoming a highlight of the foreign trade logistics industry.
