At the 2023 National Eco-Day Ningbo themed publicity event held on the afternoon of August 15, Zhenhai District released a national-level pilot work framework for pollution reduction and carbon reduction, striving to create a national-level collaborative innovation zone for pollution and carbon reduction.
In the past, when Zhenhai was mentioned, everyone thought that it was the "vanguard" in the petrochemical industry, and with it, citizens were worried about air and environmental pollution.
In fact, in the past 10 years, Zhenhai has achieved "seven consecutive reductions" in carbon dioxide emission intensity and "four consecutive reductions" in major pollutants, and significantly improved environmental quality.
Not only that, in October last year, Zhenhai District became the city's first provincial-level collaborative pilot area for pollution reduction and carbon reduction, and completed the pilot of carbon emission assessment for petrochemical park planning environmental assessment for the first time by exploring the establishment of a pollution reduction and carbon reduction index system.
The "gutter oil" has been transformed into high-quality aviation fuel; Thousands of egrets, known as "environmental inspectors", have made their home in Zhenhai Refining and have achieved a "green miracle"... It can be said that Zhenhai has sufficient confidence to release the city's first pilot work framework for pollution reduction and carbon reduction.
The national-level collaborative innovation work framework for pollution reduction and carbon reduction "exposed" by Zhenhai provides a model for the city to continue to build "Great Beauty Ningbo" through "1 general outline and 3 points".
The general program aims at beautiful Zhenhai and carbon peak and carbon neutrality, takes energy, industry, agriculture, forestry and other core areas to achieve coordinated emission reduction of various pollutants and greenhouse gases through process improvement, energy conservation and efficiency, and resource utilization.
Zhenhai will also make efforts in three aspects, including environmental factor governance, petrochemical industry, and key scientific research projects, comprehensively establish key pilot projects for pollution reduction and carbon reduction, actively explore the Zhenhai model of collaborative innovation in pollution and carbon reduction, and strive to create a national-level collaborative innovation zone for pollution reduction and carbon reduction, and strive to "demonstrate in one place and share it all over the world".
