A captivating modern cheongsam show took center stage, with models adorning the traditional Chinese attire and contemporary garments, creating a mesmerizing fusion of past and present. Illuminated by neon signs, these models gracefully walked down the stone-paved streets, traversing time and showcasing the beauty of cultural evolution.
The evening of May 27 witnessed the splendid "Dreaming through 100 Years" Hongbang Clothing Show and the kickoff ceremony of the Charming China Contest in Xikou County, Fenghua District. This event masterfully blended contemporary Shanghai cheongsam culture with an enchanting "old Shanghai + cyberpunk" atmosphere, creating a visual and sensory feast for the audience.
Renowned in the domestic fashion circle, the Charming China Contest is a cultural and tourism extravaganza that showcases the current Chinese fashion through costume culture. Notably, this year marks the third edition of the contest, with Fenghua, Ningbo playing host for the first time, departing from its usual location in Shanghai.
During the preliminary round, contestants participated in two groups: the cheongsam show and the fashion show. They showcased their designs and creations on the catwalk, leaving the audience captivated by the splendid costumes and dream-like lighting effects.
Originating in Fenghua, renowned as the "hometown of the Chinese peach" and a popular domestic travel destination, Chinese hongbang costumes took center stage. The event not only featured photo shoots in picturesque locations like Qianzhang Rock and Xuedou Temple, highlighting Fenghua's tourism attractions, but also involved local clothing companies like Romon to expand the influence of Fenghua hongbang clothing in the global market and industrial tourism.
Tourism and culture serve as the backdrop for promoting positive messages and presenting a vibrant new image. The organizing committee of the Fenghua Peach Culture Festival emphasized that a wide range of activities will illuminate the city's brand as "Where the peach blossoms bloom - Fenghua." These activities aim to enhance the "theme + experience" of Fenghua's cultural tourism, offering opportunities for viewing, purchasing, and entertainment. Ultimately, this activation of cultural tourism consumption will further promote rural prosperity and the shared well-being of the community
