Xiangshan titled "Most Beautiful Leisure Tourism County"

With an annual growth of 20% in tourist reception rate, Xiangshan County has recently been honored as one of the "Most Beautiful Leisure Tourism Counties in China", after it was titled "Most Beautiful Countryside in China" and "Top 10 Self-drive Destinations of the Yangtze River Delta Area" this year.
The tourism industry in Xiangshan County has been promoted by the "Four Improvements" project, including the improvements in project construction, market development, environment optimization and industrial quality. 16 tourist items have been launched, and four overseas brand hotel management companies have been introduced, attracting a total internal and external investment of 1 billion yuan. On the basis of the village tour, TV and movie tour, marine tour and wedding tour, it has also promoted some seasonal featured tourist products and lines, cultivated such farm tour brands as the Fangjiadai Village and Xibiantang Village, and carried out such activities as the Songlan Mountain Beach Music Festival, Xiangshan Film & TV City Carnival and the Seafood Tasting Feast at the Shipu Fishing Port, greatly enriching the tourist patterns. Work has also been done in the standardization and network construction of travel agencies and hotels. So far, there are nien star-class travel agencies, and seven flower-class hotels and seven national silver-leaf green restaurants. It is estimated that in 2014, the whole county will receive accumulatively 15 million visitors and the overall tourism revenue will reach 14.5 billion yuan.
It is reported that the "Most Beautiful Leisure Tourism Counties" award was jointly sponsored by the Chinese County Brand Development Association, the Chinese Study and Promotion Association of Ecological Tourism, and China Tourism Investment Council. With its rich marine tourism resources and unique leisure tourism culture, Xiangshan County becomes the only county in Zhejiang Province to get the award.
