Parachute glider festival opened in Cixi

"2012 National-wide Parachute Glider Festival and the 7th Carnival" opened in Fulongshan Mountain Parachute Glider Base in Fulong Town, Cixi on the morning of December 29. Over 80 parachute glider lovers attended the festival.
Wang Yongli, Director of the Aviation Department of Wireless Aviation Model Sports of General Administration of Sport of China said that he was very much delighted to participate in this first parachute glider festival. The parachute gliding sport is one of the sports that are most popular for the public and it has witnessed a rapid development in recent years. At present, About 5,000 people have got certificates for parachute gliders and over 1,000 of them are regular practitioners. Over 100 people have the certificate for trainers of parachute gliding by China Aviation Sport Association.
