Meishan Port container throughput grows rapidly

It is learned from Ningbo Meishan Island International Container Terminal Co. Ltd. that in the first quarter this year, container throughput of the port amounted to 249,000 TEUs, up by 83% over the same period last year.
According to the person in charge of the company, with the frequent flight changes, shipping container capacity increased and container throughput reached a record high. It is reported that the No.3 and No.4 berths of the Meishan port area have been built, and the No.5 berth is expected to be completed in the middle of this year. The operation of the three new berths will keep the port container throughput on a high level, and the total container throughput this year is expected to be more than 1.25 million TEUs
