Innovation institute opened in Zhenhai

International Innovation Institute of Applied Technology of New Energies, under the leadership of Professor Yan Jinyue, President of the International Conference on Applied Energy, opened on December 14 in Zhenhai Innovative E-Valley. Cheng Dong, Vice Chairman of China Association of Science and Technology and Chen Zhongchao, Vice Mayor of Ningbo Municipality, attended the opening ceremony.
The institute is the first demonstrative project headed by a returned expert. It is an innovative team engaged in the innovation, R&D, technological transfer and technology innovation, and commercialization of new energy technologies. In April this year, Zhenhai District and Yan Jinyue officially signed a framework agreement and a memo on the establishment of the innovation institute. With the resources of the experts team of the International Association of Applied Energy, the institute the institute aims to make breakthroughs in the fields of clean energies, renewable energy resources and technologies for the global climate change and to become an important drive for Ningbo in the construction of the technological city of new materials.
It will soon start three projects of new energies. In the future, it will start one or two projects every year. In three years, it plans to introduce and commercialize at least five projects and in five years it expects to have at least ten projects.
