Ship export makes a good start in New Year

According to the statistics in Ningbo Custom, during the first month of 2013, Ningbo exported a record high of 7,026 ships, an increase of 2.1 times, and with 96.89 million dollars, an increase of 1.8 times.
The statistics in Ningbo Custom shows that the private companies are the main exporting force with an export of 5,751 ships, an increase of 4.5 times, accounting for 81.8 percent of the total. “In recent years, the private companies make use of its advantage in acute market reaction and flexible operation mechanism. They constantly innovate technologies and develop new market, which boost the ship industry in the sluggish world market,” analyzed by one from Ningbo Custom.
Australia, Europe Union and Ukraine are the main export market. 2,369 ships are exported to Australia, an increase of 2.8 times, 2,143 ones are exported to EU, an increase of 51.5 percent,928 ships are exported to Ukraine where there no ships exported from Ningbo in 2012. The total ships exported to these three markets accounts for 77.4 percent of the total. The main ships exported are entertainment or sports yachts, 7,013 in all, an increase of 2.1 times, accounting for 99.8 percent of the total exports.
