“Ninghai County Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Center is preparing us for applying engineering center, building innovation team, and attracting venture capital”, said Hu Shengbao, head of Ningbo Kaobiruite Automobile Company. He added that the center serves as a dream factory for young makers. Backed by state-of-the-art technologies, the company has numerous orders and is currently nominating two patents for inventions and 18 practical and new patents. The researcher, developer and designer of smart equipment settled in the center a year ago.
In September 2013, Ninghai County Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Center was born. The center gives priority to fostering technology-based enterprises and a platform for technological innovation, the first of its kind in Ninghai. The platform builds on the model of Professional Incubation + Entrepreneurial Guidance + Angel Investment, providing all-directional services to start-ups. Fenfang, general manager of Qiushi Science and Technology Company, said that makers could do nothing but bring their own bags when they are to work in the center as the place is well-equipped. Qiushi built the center and is now doing such jobs as business attraction and management.
Huajun Science and Technology Network Company developed a multi-interfaced computer mainframe extender capable of high-speed transmission, providing upgrading and maintenance services for more than 100,000 internet bars nationwide. The professional internet app provider, starting from scratch with only 3 staff at first, is expected to post 10 million yuan in output value in 2015. Huajun is capable of providing access to management and financing among other needs, said Chen Lijiang, partner of Huajun.
Technology advancement is what makers need to make a breakthrough in inception. To this end, Technology Experts Federation was established by the center to deliver targeted guidance on technology. The federation is composed of 50 mentors on entrepreneurship, who are experts in electronics and information, photoelectron machinery integration, biomedicine, chemical, new material, stationery and molds. With the help of mentors, Dingchuang Science and Technology Consultancy partnered with Zhejiang University, Harbin Institute of Technology, among others to establish Industrial and Technological Innovation Federation that aims to introduce advanced technological results and attract talents. At present, Dingchuang provides services to more than 5000 small-and-micro-sized businesses. It has provided solutions to 764 problems concerning technology with over 98% customers feeling happy about its services since the beginning of 2015.
As of now, 49 innovation-driven businesses have settled in the center. Their operations span life and health, new materials, new energy, creative design, electronic information, etc.
