Tea manufacturers turn to black tea

Green tea used to dominate the tea industry in spring and summer in Ningbo. However, black tea becomes the favor of the tea market in June this year. The demand for black tea is on the rise.
The latest survey from the Municipal Forestry Bureau shows that in the first months, the production of black tea in Ningbo makes up 24.1% of the total tea production, worth 23.345 million yuan, increasing by 31.7% and 11% separately. A large portion of the black tea was put into the market of Ningbo.
It is learned that the local black tea manufacturers are taking a big move. Some of the large tea makers in Ninghai, Fenghua and Beilun started from the upstream of the industry chain. They plan to build or rebuild the organic tea parks and make and process the products with strict production process. With the rise of e-commerce, some of the tea enterprises begin its online sale and build a marketing mode to adapt to the consumption trend.
With the high profit of black tea and its increasing demand, an increasing number of tea enterprises begun to invest in it. Tea businesses which have benefited from the sales of black tea are accelerating to cultivate more brands. However, more tea makers are beginning to develop their own brand aiming to share the market.
With the black tea fever, experts suggested that green tea is a specialty of Zhejiang. It is not advisable for the tea makers in Ningbo to neglect its strength. It will be blind to overdevelop black tea industry.
