Planned investment on key projects exceeding 100 billion yuan

News came from the Leading Group Conference for key projects in Ningbo that in 2013, there will be 383 key projects with a total investment of 1.043 trillion yuan, and the planned investment for 2013 will exceed 100 billion yuan for the first time. There will be 117 preliminary projects with a total investment of 353 billion yuan.
There is a significant growth in the projects on people’s livelihood, including 11 pension projects, 15 health care projects, 22 affordable housing projects and 14 eco-environment projects. As the major industrial projects are related with the lasting economic development, the municipal planning has been tilting to industrial projects for the last two years. This year there will be over 190 key industrial projects with a planned investment of 43 billion yuan. Six of the key preliminary projects are expected to be approved by the state, including the Sanmen Bay Bridge and its linking road and the first phase of the No.3 Rail Transit Line, which will start construction in 2013. 


In terms of fields, the industrial projects take the lead among all the key projects with 77 items and an annual investment of 26.4 billion yuan, an increase of 5.6 billion yuan over the previous year. To be specific, 34 projects including the Geely Royo Engine and Sunny New Intelligent Photoelectric Sensors will be started, and 28 projects including the International Automobile Industrial Town with an annual output of 300,000 Volkswagen (Shanghai) vehicles and the Ningbo Base of CSR will be completed. There will be 50 key service projects, with an annual investment of 16.6 billion yuan. There will be 36 key port transportation projects, with 11 projects including the multi-functional pier in Meishan Port District and the Minzhou Connecting Way of the Ningbo-Jinhua Expressway to be started and 16 projects including Ningbo Chuanshan Port-sparse Expressway and the reconstruction of Ningbo South Railway Station to be completed.
With regard to the most concerned urban infrastructure field, there are 31 key projects, with an annual investment of 23.2 billion yuan, an increase of 4.3 billion yuan over in 2012. Eight projects, such as the new Xinjiang Bridge and the extension area of the Old Bund will be put into construction, the construction of 10 projects including the expressway of the south and north ring roads will be accelerated, and 13 projects including the No.1 land construction project on the Qixiang Road will be completed.
