The Ningbo parallel session of 2014 China (Zhejiang) International Conference on Travelling Salesmen was convened on November 11, 150 overseas travelling salesmen from Europe, America and Southeast Asia participated in the event.
The conference was organized by the Provincial Bureau of Tourism and hosted by Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Tourism., with the theme of “a land of Buddhism and Maitreya with rich traditional culture and customs, places of interest and food”. The event is expected to promote the new tourism products of Ningbo, to strengthen the cooperation and exchange with Europe, America and Southeast Asia, to boost Ningbo’s overseas exposure and popularity, to expand Ningbo’s international tourism markets and to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of Ningbo’s tourism.
In the two-day-long event, the host prepared activities like tourism promotion, making Tangyuan on the field and show of serving dishes in order to let the world have a better understanding of Ningbo and its customs and culture. At the same time, the salesmen will be arranged to visit Dongqian Lake resort and the ancient town in Jiangbei Cicheng.
