Ningbo has 6 national foreign trade demo bases

The other day, the Ministry of Commerce released a 2nd list of the 58 national foreign trade upgrading demonstrative bases, on which are Yinzhou Hardware Manufacturing Base, Xiangshan Leisure Wear Manufacturing Base, Fenghua Men's Clothes Manufacturing Base and Beilun Stationery Base. With Ninghai Stationery Production Base and Yinzhou Clothes Production Base, Ningbo has 6 national foreign trade upgrading demo bases, ranking the first in all cities of the country.
According to the plan of the Ministry of Commerce, in the following 5 to 10 years China should nurture a large number of demonstrative production bases that can play a leading role in export and have great competitiveness. These bases consist of professional ones, enterprises and production bases. Of the bases, the national foreign trade upgrading bases are concentrating zones of some specific industries in agricultural products, light industrial products, textile products, medicine and health products, chemical products, and new materials. By the end of 2012, the country has appointed 117 national foreign trade upgrading demonstrative bases.
The four bases of Ningbo on the list have notable concentrating effect and they have great potential in structural upgrading. Yinzhou Hardware Manufacturing Base has 841 enterprises in it, 43 of which have their annual output exceeding one million yuan. The base has over 200,000 workers and the annual export sales exceeds 30 billion yuan. Xiangshan Leisure Wear Manufacturing Base have been entitled "Famous Textile Production Zone of China" and "Ningbo Grade Textile Production Base". It has 83 independent brands. The products of the base export to over 140 countries and regions, with the annual export valuing 100 million US dollars
