Ningbo delegation to attend China International Cartoon & Animation Festival

The 10th China (Hangzhou) International Cartoon & Animation Festival commenced on April 28 in Hangzhou. The festival witnesses the largest ever Ningbo delegation with over 20 animation and game enterprises.
As the largest cartoon and animation event in China, the festival has been awarded “the ountry’s most influential” cartoon & animation exhibition, which may also serves as the exact windvane for cartoon & animation industry. This year's session attracted exhibitors and competitors from over 74 countries and regions, including the US, Japan, Franc and Russia.
From the perspective of the participants, the festival is a great platform for exhibition, idea exchange and cooperation.
The Ningbo delegation, made up by over 20 local well-known cartoon and animation enterprises, demonstrates the strength of the cartoon, animation & game industry in Ningbo. The leading delegates include such state-level enterprises as Minhe Entertainment, whose cartoon series "Young Affandi" was awarded some national prizes, and Kaku Cartoon, shortlisted as one of the leading national cultural export enterprises 2013 – 2014.
In addition, also present on the exhibition were a group of major original cartoon & animation enterprises at the municipal level in game designs, derivative products sales, and public service platform development for derivative products, as well as some emerging enterprises for innovative cultural publicity.
In recent years, by focusing on the related emerging industries, Ningbo has developed a group of cartoon, animation and game enterprises with outstanding innovative capacity and great influence power. So far, there are over 40 registered cartoon, animation and game enterprises in the city, and Ningbo ranked among the top ten cities for innovative TV cartoon production for two consecutive years in 2011 and 2012.
