Ningbo delegation grabs $630 million at Canton Fair

The first phase of the 118th Canton Fair came to a close on October 19. It is learned from Ningbo Municipal Business Commission, by the closing day, Ningbo delegation had achieved an export volume of $630 million, almost the same as for last year's session.
Ningbo trade delegation is composed of over 3100 people from 614 enterprises and they got 1306 booths. In terms of the commodity structure, the household appliances, lighting products and electronic appliances ranked the top three. Among others, the brand products, featured products and new products with high technological content are the most popular with overseas businesses. As for the export destinations, the top four markets with largest turnover are the EU, the US, the Middle East and the South America.
Despite the weak global market and severe export situations, Ningbo foreign trade enterprises have been focusing on research & development and developing independent brands. At the first phase of the fair, the sink dishwasher from Ningbo Fotile Kitchenware Co. Ltd. got the gold award for product design, while the plastic wheelchair from Ningbo Lecount Medical Technology Co. Ltd. got the silver award.
