Leading agricultural enterprises saw a steady development

In 2012, there increased another 20 city level leading agricultural enterprises, and thus made the total number of city level and above such enterprises 273, including 40 provincial level key enterprises and 9 national level ones. Those agricultural enterprises all saw a steady development in 2012 with an increased output value, which reached 56.89 billion yuan, up by 15 percent. The sales revenue reached 46.52 billon yuan, increased by 8 percent compared to 2012; the profit stood at 1.62 billion yuan, up by 3 percent; and the export reached 1.39 billion dollars with an increase of 4 percent.
According to the summary sheet, 91 city level and above leading agricultural enterprises achieved an output value of over 100 million yuan and 165 over 50 million yuan with an increase of 10 and 4 over the last year respectively. Besides, 42 export enterprises realized the export over 10 million dollars and 68 over 5 million dollars, which made the export 1.27 billion dollars and occupied 92 percent of the agricultural products export all year around.
The leading agricultural enterprises have become a major driving force for the development of modern agriculture and also the most energetic growing entity in the development of agriculture and rural economy.
