Lanxess to invest 5.5 million euros in a new pigment factory

Lanxess, one of the Top 500, has announced that it will build a high-tech iron oxide red pigment factory which is environmentally sound so as to expand its production network of inorganic pigments worldwide. The construction of the factory will be started in the second quarter this year with a total investment of 5.5 million euros. The factory is expected to be put into use in the first half of 2015 and turn out 25,000 tons of products in the first year.

It is learned that this is the second modern iron oxide red pigment factory invested by Lanxess, with the first located in Jinshan, Shanghai. With the development of urbanization in China, Lanxess has increased its investment in the Chinese market. Currently, Lanxess has 10 branch companies in mainland China, accounting for 10% of its total sales revenue.
