Guided by Ningbo Banking Association, representatives from 37 bank institutions in Ningbo signed three self-discipline conventions on June 16, to enhance their financial support for real economy and enterprises in need.
Since 2013, some private enterprises in Ningbo have encountered problems in capital chain and guarantee chain, bringing about certain impact to the sustainable development of the local economy. To address such problems, Ningbo Financial Affairs Office have made joint efforts with such departments as Ningbo Banking Regulatory Bureau to set up the financial supporting mechanism for enterprises in need, thus the three self-discipline conventions.
"The three conventions are the basis for regulating financial market behaviors and improve local financial ecology. Banks are encouraged to enhance their idea of the overall situation, fulfill their social responsibility and improve financial services. By helping enterprises to solve the difficulties in financing and get out of the economic dilemma, the banks can achieve a win-win situation with enterprises." said a person in charge from Ningbo Financial Affairs Office.
Preliminary statistics show that by the end of May 2014, the banking industry in Ningbo had invested a credit amount of 9.897 billion yuan in supporting 180 enterprises in need, by means of implementing guaranteed credit line, providing beneficial policies and promoting restructuring and reform.
