Cross-border E-commerce brisk at Ningbo Bonded Zone

Statistics from Ningbo Customs show that since Ningbo Bonded Zone started the cross-border E-commerce trade on November 27, 2013, by April 27, 2016, the total number of the cross-border E-commerce orders declared has reached 20.385 million, with the total sales volume reaching 4.22 billion yuan. There are over 40,000 kinds of goods, including baby products, health products, cosmetics and household appliances, with the top three in sales being the diapers, milk powder and cosmetics, benefiting 8.077 million consumers from 31 provinces and municipalities all over the country.
In recent years, Ningbo Customs has actively promoted the rapid development of the cross-border E-commerce by optimizing the customs cleaning procedures, improving the supervision concepts and optimizing the services to enterprises. In the first quarter of 2016, Ningbo Customs approved 5.12 million import declarations for cross-border E-commerce, up by 2.8 times over the same period of last year, with the sales volume fo 970 million yuan, up by 1.6 times.
