The main events of 2024 Zhejiang Cultural and Natural Heritage Day, including public welfare treasure appreciation, cultural and creative sales, and museum stalls, were launched at the square in front of the Wangjing Gate City Wall Ruins Museum of Haishu District, Ningbo. The rich and diverse cultural and museum fair provides the public an opportunity to enjoy both the ancient charm and the modern fashion.
With the theme of “protecting cultural relics and inheriting civilization”, the activity focuses on showcasing Zhejiang Province’s new achievements in the protection and utilization of cultural relics and the protection and inheritance of cultural heritage. The list of newly selected national first-class museums was unveiled on site, and a cultural relic themed tour route was released. Meanwhile, the top ten exhibition boutiques of the national museums were commended, as well as the excellent cases of high-quality development of cultural relics in Zhejiang Province in 2023, and the first “most beautiful cultural relics guardians”.

The “Animal World in Cultural Relics”, the first original exhibition planned for children by the Ningbo Museum, is scheduled to be officially launched on June 1. On the morning of May 31, 100 animal themed cultural relics made their appearance, presenting an “animal world” at the museum.
These exhibits were carefully selected from over 70,000 items in the collection of the museum, and were divided into four major sections: “animals flying in the sky”, “animals running on the ground”, “animals living in the water”, and “animals in mythology”. Both adults and children can enter the colorful world of animal relics and listen to the artistic and mental “dialogues” between ancient people and nature.
