It is learned from the launching ceremony of starting business integrity construction in Ningbo and "business integrity awareness month" activity, Ningbo has recently been selected as one of the first ten pilot cities in China for business integrity construction.
In the past few years, Ningbo has made business integrity an important part of "credit Ningbo" construction. Through such activities as the construction of "no fake goods" demonstration streets and demonstration stores, "three green project (green channel, green market and green consumption construction", and the construction of the security traceability system for meat and vegetable, a range of advanced enterprises and institutions with honest business conducts, strong legal awareness, high social prestige and good demonstration effects have sprung up in Ningbo. So far, there are 19 "no fake goods" demonstration streets and 47 demonstration stores, and 357 "honest private enterprises" and "honest businessmen". In the meanwhile, Ningbo takes the lead in the construction of the "three green project", and the security traceability network of meat and vegetable in Ningbo, the most complete of its kind in China, was completed at the end of last year.
As an integral part of the construction of socialist spiritual civilization, business integrity construction is both a basic project of building the market economic system and a kind of countermeasure of regulating the market order. In accordance with the pilot program, Ningbo will make it a major task to "promote business culture and build 'credit Ningbo'". In such industries and fields as food, medicine, department store, catering, beauty and public services, the government will make every endeavor to guarantee the quality of commodities by establishing and improving the systems of purchase inspection, quality commitment, security management and emergency response. In addition, the retailers are encouraged to provide such integrity services as "advance payment" and "return without reason".

It is learned from the related press conference that the 2012 Zhejiang Ningbo Week of Talent, Science & Technology will be held from September 21 to 25. During the period, the organizers will launch four main campaigns including talents and intelligence introduction, cooperation in science and technology projects, high-end intelligence tour to Ningbo and docking of talents and capital markets, and the comprehensive agreement-signing ceremony will also be held.
There will be three main activities for talents and intelligence introduction campaign, namely, the high-level talents introduction fairs, the entrepreneurship tour for overseas Chinese talents and China Science and Technology Business Plan Contest. There will be two high-level talents introduction fairs. One is an open fair for the matchmaking of 7000 graduate students to graduate in 2013 from 100 universities or colleges throughout the country and 8000 posts provided by 700 enterprises or institutions in and outside Zhejiang Province. The other one is a closed fair exclusively for over 200 enterprises and well-known talent intermediaries from home and abroad, and 1000 job posts with an annual salary of 150,000 yuan will be provided in the closed fair.

On September 5, the opening ceremony for Ningbo mobile phone library was held at the library of Ningbo University Park. The mobile phone library is the phone version of Ningbo digital library and another project of non-profit digital reading service open to Ningbo citizens.
The website of the mobile phone library is http://wap.nbdl.gov.cn/. It is learned that the phone library is a kind of application of such new digital technologies as mobile internet, cloud computation and cloud memory on the library. By using their phones, readers can retrieve the paper books in the library anytime, and have free access to the Ningbo digital library with 2.4 million Chinese E-books, 70 million Chinese journal articles, 87 million pieces of news reports, 110 million foreign journal articles, and a host of other resources including dissertations, patents, various criteria and even videos. It is also possible for readers to inquire about the collection information of Ningbo digital library and receive the documents delivery service.
In addition, the mobile phone library program can provide personalized service to readers. It greatly facilitates the readers' use of the library by enabling them to inquire about information, renew books and receive other services through their mobile phones.

On September 4, the first 20 pilot spots in Haishu District for free wireless Internet access (WiFi) were put into use. In these spots people can have free Internet access by connecting their mobile phones or tablets to "iNing-bo" and then following the instructions.
As a leading "smart district" in Ningbo, Haishu District has become the first district in Zhejiang Province to have full optical-network coverage, with its cable covering over 160,000 households. By building 962 wireless Internet access spots and 10,958 APs, the district has attained a full coverage of wireless Internet in the district government departments, business buildings, shopping centers, social and public hotspots and the urban trunk roads. Recently, Haishu District Government, Ningbo Smart City Construction Office and Ningbo Branch of China Mobile have signed a strategic agreement on the pilot project of free wireless Internet access in Haishu District. According to the agreement, Haishu District has been chosen as the pilot area for the project, and the project will last for three years.
It is learned that besides the three major business centers of Tianyi Square, Heyi Avenue and Moonlake Flourishing Garden, other free access hotspots include Zhongshan Park, Ningbo Housing Provident Fund Management Center, 81890 Service Center, Ningbo Administrative Examination and Approval Center, Ningbo No.1 Hospital, Ningbo Women's and Children's Hospital, Ningbo Times Movie World and Ningbo New Hualian Shopping Mall.
