According to Ningbo Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, from this January to August export via Ningbo to FTA countries and regions reaches 45,800 batches valuing 1.293 billion US dollars, increased by 5.28% and 3.69% respectively compared with the same period of last year.
In recent years, China has established free-trade zones with 20 countries and regions, including ASEAN countries, Chile, New Zealand, Peru and Costa Rica. With the free trade zones, the reduced tariff and reduction of trade barrier have effectively promoted bilateral economy and trade exchanges. As long as export companies apply for certificate of origin of FTA from Ningbo Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, they can enjoy related tariff reductions preferential policies. According to statistics, from this January to August, Ningbo Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has signed 35,300 preferential C.Os., amounting to 1.219 billion US dollar, increased by 11.55% and 16.53% respectively over the same period of last year.
FTA countries keep high demand on consumer goods, especially textiles and garments, electric appliances, lamps and lanterns, valves, plastic products and electric wires. Of these products, the export of small household appliances and garments reaches 248 million US dollar and 165 million US dollar respectively.

More than 700 jobs, with maximum annual salary of 3 million RMB yuan... According to Ningbo Human Resource and Social Security Bureau, Close-End Fair of Top Grade Innovative Talents, a part of 14th Talents Conference is to be held on Sept. 22 ed, at which 700 high-end vacancies of 120 big companies from Zhejiang and other provinces are available.
It is reported that participants to the fair include large companies such as Yinyi Group, Ningbo Jintian Copper (Group) Co., Ltd, Wuxi Hongdou Group Co., Ltd, Wenzhou LED Co., Ltd. Six of the companies have their registered capital amounting to more than 500 million RMB yuan each. The job positions available include CEO, vice president, general manager, deputy general manager, R&D director, technology director and trade manager. Yinyi Group is going to employ 24 middle-level and high-level talents with maximum annual salary of 3 million RMB yuan, and there are 10 positions, including CEO, vice president, general accountant, chief auditor, chief economist, etc, whose annual salary exceeds 1 million yuan.

On Sept. 9th, in the 2nd Smart City Expo China four summits were held: smart transportation summit forum, smart healthcare summit forum, smart education summit forum and electronic service conference theme forum.
On the smart transportation summit forum, attendants include: member of Education, Science, Culture and Health Committee of the NPC and the General Director of China Smart Transportation Wu Zhongze and Deputy Director of Shanghai Transportation Information Center He Cheng. They made discussions on cases of domestic and oversea smart transportation construction, and on topics such as smart transportation future and modern life. Experts suggested that successful experience and new technology applications should be vigorously promoted so as to further the planning and construction of China smart transportation.
On the smart healthcare summit forum, Meng Qun, Director of Statistic Information Center of Ministry of Health, delivered a speech on health informationization development framework and practice of national health informationization concept. Representatives from Taiwan, Henan, Shanghai and Ningbo made reports of their progress on health informationization. Representatives from HUAWEI discussed industrialization of smart healthcare and related issues with experts and scholars.
Attendants of the smart education high level forum included: experts and scholars from East China Normal University, South China Normal University, People's Education Press, Ningbo GQY Video & Telecom Joint Stock Co. and TCS-SMUiCity. On the theme of "smart education, future on science", they made reports on smart education achievements in perspectives of "smart education, innovation pursuit of education informationization", "international development tendency of smart education" and "lifelong education for all".

On the morning of Sept. 10th, the signing ceremony of the 2nd Smart City Expo China was held, at which Ningbo signed 23 Smart City cooperative projects which added up to 9.09 billion RMB yuan. The projects involve such fields as Internet of things, cloud computing, smart transportation, smart education and others.
The 23 signed projects mainly include: smart city strategic cooperation, green cloud computing data center, China Mobile Yinzhou smart application data center, smart transportation cooperation, application of next generation Internet of things in smart agriculture, CETC Ningbo marine electronic research institute, Dianfeng Group software and service outsourcing, smart transportation video visual analysis and application, Grosvenor smart city R&D comprehensive industrial park, Chinese Academy of Science Ningbo IT application research, Ningbo investment foundation for software entrepreneurship, etc.
Among all the projects, Grosvenor smart city R&D comprehensive industrial park is the matching urban complex for Ningbo smart city software R&D and promotion industry, whose investment totals 4 billion RMB. And in the smart transportation project, ZTE Cooperation plans to start ZTE Smart Transportation Company in Haishu district, promoting smart transportation industry
