The Grape Festival in Linshan, Yuyao was launched on August 1. Dozens of photographers from Yuyao and visitors from the Changjiang River delta area became the first group of people to pick the grapes. The launch of the festival also symbolized the beginning of the cultural tour of the ancient town——Linshan.
Linshan has long been crowned as a place for growing grapes with thousands years of history. As early as in the Ming Dynasty, the record says that Linshan grew grapes then, and till now, there are 38 varieties of grapes grown on fields of 12,000 mu in area. The total revenue of last year amounted to 280 mln yuan.
It is learned that during the one-month festival, a series of activities will be held, including photographing contest, calligraphy writing competition, blind-dating etc.

Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) trial operation will start from tomorrow on the expressways of Zhejiang, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Anhui, Jiangxi and Fujian. All the ETC vehicles that have updated the electronic label information can travel smoothly in Yangtze River Delta. Under unified arrangement, the updating of electronic label information finished yesterday. It is learned from Ningbo expressway ETC service spot that a total of 1250 vehicles need to update the labels, while there are still over 400 cars left not updated.
Figures show that ETC has already got 14,000 users, with over 9000 individual users and 5000 unit users. 24 out of 33 Ningbo expressway toll stations have set up ETC, with the coverage rate over 70%. It is projected that this year Ningbo will open up ETC special lanes in another four toll stations in Moushan, Dayin, North of Ninghai (Xidian), South of Ninghai (Chalu).
"After networking, the 400 vehicles without updating the electronic label information cannot use ETC in other provinces in Yangtze River Delta except in Zhejiang." The staff working at ETC service spot in Ningbo expressway advises those car owners to update electronic label information as soon as possible, so as to avoid further inconvenience.

The latest figures from Ningbo Customs show that wine import accumulated to 4.416 million liters in bonded zone in the first half of this year, a slight year-on-year decrease of 3%. The total value stands at $22.74 million, up 8.8%; average import price at $5.1 per liter, up 12.2%. 90% of the goods are imported through Customs' special supervised area. And over 80% of imported wine are from French, Spain and Chile.
Ningbo bonded area has provided high efficiency for imported wine to pass the Customs and the supervision. Correspondingly, it has also established professional service platform, functioning as trade centre and exhibition centre, to provide multiple guarantee of quality and goods supply. Thanks to the "Ningbo Mode", the market of imported wine has witnessed a rapid and robust growth, from 3 companies importing wine in 2008 to 200 companies at present. Last year, 8.91 million liters of wine was imported making Ningbo the largest physical and professional wine-importing market in China.
A few days ago, symposium on imported wine (food) in free trade zone of China was held in Ningbo, discussing import mode and other topics. High appreciation towards Ningbo Mode was given by those in charge of industry regulators such as Market Operation Division of Commerce Department and Food Import and Export Chamber of Commerce and representatives from 14 bonded zones (Shanghai, Xiamen, Zhangjiagang, Fuzhou, Chendu, etc.) and some imported enterprises.

Recently, Ningbo Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has released the Ningbo Import and Export Commodity quality and safety briefing in the first half of the year. It shows that the quality of exported products significantly improved in the first half of 2012.
Ningbo Inspection and Quarantine Bureau exported 277,000 batches of commodities in the first half of this year, worth $ 8.97 billion. Inspection and quarantine bureau detected a total of 743 batches of substandard goods, worth $ 15,626,000, reduced by 36.2% and 71.5% respectively. Among them, 709 batches of substandard exports are industrial products, worth $15,041,000. The amount of substandard product has decreased by 40.9% year on year.
The main problem of substandard exports of industrial products is unqualified specifications, mainly related to the exports of clothing, lamps and small appliances and other goods
In addition, the detected substandard food and agricultural products in the first half of 2012 amount to 34 batches, decreased by 50.7% year on year, worth $ 583,000. The main problem of unqualified export food and agricultural products is the unqualified quarantine project, mainly related to the export of nursery stock and other goods.
