On the afternoon of August 30, the last game of the fourth round of the “Bridge and Sea Cup” Ningbo Second Amateur Go League was completed at Ningbo Go Association. The Yongshi Hidden Sword team drew 2-2 at home with the Rulong Culture team, and won two
points with the victory of its leading player Li Luyang, while the Rulong Culture team got one point. This round of competition is the first in the history of Ningbo Go field to adopt the “home and away match system”. 10 teams have completed five home and away games. So far, Shuqian Green Forest team has accumulated 10 points, temporarily ranking first in the points table, followed by Binghang Technology team and Yuhong Repair team, who have accumulated eight points each.
Ningbo Amateur Go League is a new type of competition founded last year. Unlike in the past, this competition adopts the participation of registering clubs, and each club and chess player form teams to participate through “two-way selection”. This team formation method is also new to Ningbo Go teams.
In this second session of the competition, there have been some reforms in the competition system. In the first stage, the first three rounds of the First Division teams were completed using the traditional competition system, the second stage adopted the home and away match system for the first time, and the third stage continued to use the traditional competition system for the final few rounds.
The game between the Yongshi Hidden Sword team and the Rulong Culture team is the last of this round of home and away matches. It is worth mentioning that both teams come from Ningbo National High-tech Zone. The Rulong Culture team is composed completely of young players. For example, Xiang Yuze was born in 2014 and won the championship for Children’s Group A at the first “Longgang Cup” National Children’s Go Open on August 28, for which he was promoted to the amateur Band 6. He has also become the youngest amateur Band 6 player in Zhejiang Province
