11th Ningbo International University Students Festival kicks off

On the morning of July 15, the opening ceremony of the 11th Ningbo International University Students Festival was held at the Jin Zongcheng Law Teaching Center Building of Ningbo Tech University.
Over 200 university students from Ningbo’s sister cities in such countries as Grenada, Madagascar, Mongolia, Romania, Russia, and Vietnam, as well as representatives of university students from Ningbo, participated in the activity.
This year’s International University Students Festival is hosted by Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Education and Ningbo Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, and organized by Ningbo Tech University. With the theme of “Young Ningbo and the Marine Silk Road”, it aims to promote exchanges between Chinese and foreign university students, allowing them to experience and understand the history, culture, and customs of Ningbo, and enhance understanding, friendship, and common growth through mutual learning and exchange.
At the opening ceremony, students from Ningbo Tech University welcomed foreign university students with sincere smiles and introduced them the customs of Ningbo. College students from international sister cities also introduced their respective cities. Four college students from Madagascar even performed a dance from their hometown, receiving applause from the present.
Reportedly, this year’s festival will last for five days, and the participating university student representatives will go to such places as Xiangshan County, Beilun District, Haishu District, and Yinzhou District for on-site inspections, take part in various cultural experience activities, and get to know the economic and social development of Ningbo
