Bilingual public signs will cover the whole city in 2020

Ningbo Bilingual Public Sign System Implementation Plan will be put into effect since July. The system include 5 categories: road sign, bus stop sign, map, location sign and traffic sign. The plan also decides five areas for the bilingual public signs: public transportation equipment, urban road, streets and districts, tourism and service places, and parks.
According to the plan, Tianyi business circle, Ningbo Railway Station and the South and North Square will complete the updating of the public sign system. The new system is expected to cover the whole city by 2020.
In addition, departments like Ningbo Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development will issue A Guide to Ningbo Bilingual Public Sign and Ningbo Public Sign Translation Standard.
