"Ningbo Week" in Shanghai promotes investment attraction

As the major event of the 2015 "Ningbo Week" in Shanghai, the Ningbo-Shanghai Investment and Cooperation Fair as well as the agreement signing ceremony was held at Shanghai International Conference Center on the afternoon of May 20. Over 300 people from the two governments and enterprises concerned attended the fair to seek for opportunities for cooperation. As a result, 29 projects were signed, with a total investment of 64.651 billion yuan, including 9 projects in manufacturing industry, and 20 in other modern services industries such as modern finance, tourism development, pension and health, and E-commerce.
The "One belt, one road" initiative and the Yangtze River Economic Belt strategy provide new impetus to the cooperation an communication of the two cities along the East China Sea. At the fair, based on its port economic circle construction, Ningbo selected 521 projects on the "three-year action plan for economic and social transformation" and 74 PPP cooperation projects for promotion. Those projects, involving modern agriculture, high-end manufacturing, characteristic parks or zones, land development, infrastructure, building renal attraction, high-end services and recreational tourism, aroused great interests from the participants at the fair. The first PPP projects, jointly sponsored by the government and social capitals, are best received at the fair.
Attracted by the excellent industrial development planning and the state-of-art service environment, a large group of prominent Shanghai enterprises have showed great interest in the promoted projects, including some large projects with an investment of over 10 billion yuan. Shanghai Phicomm and Guangxi Future Technology will invest 10 billion yuan to build the Phicomm Industrial Park and Future Technology Smart City project at Hangzhou Bay New Zone. The Phicomm Industrial Park will consist of the big-data center, R&D Center, Production and Manufacturing Center and Storage and Logistics Center. Future Technology will cooperate with Ningbo in such fields as smart governance, smart urban management, smart tourism, smart traffic and smart industrial parks, to build Ningbo a demonstration for smart city construction.
Statistics show that at the fair, 15 major cooperation projects were signed, with a total investment of 5.247 billion yuan, including six secondary industrial projects, with a total investment of 3.205 billion yuan, and nine tertiary industrial projects, with a total investment of 2.042 billion yuan
