World Cup to boost beer sale in Ningbo

The upcoming Brazil World Cup boosted beer import in Ningbo's Free Trade Zone. A total of 200,000 liters of German beer has been imported through the free trade zone recently and will enter local market soon.
Statistics show Ningbo Free Trade zone has totally imported 231,000 litres of beer, worth US $268000 from this January to April, a year-on-year growth of 82.2 percent and 42.8 percent respectively. Several factors contribute to the soaring beer import. First, the rising living standard allows drinking imported beer a fashion. Second, the upcoming the Brazil World Cup leads to such a high beer demand that the importers are busy replenishing their stocks in advance. Third, the streamlined inspection and quarantine service of Ningbo Free Trade Zone facilitate alcohol imports.
