The 15th China Zhejiang Investment and Trade Fair (ZJITF), the 12th China International Consumer Goods Fair (CICGF) and the 6th China Opening-up Forum were closed on June 11. According to statistics from the organizing committee, over 40,000 merchants attended the fair and 87 foreign-invested projects were signed with a total utilization of foreign capital of 5.13 billion US Dollars. Export orders of 0.46 billion US Dollar and import orders of nearly 0.1 billion were made.
The two fairs and one forum has attracted over 50 world Top 500 enterprises and over 100 multinational companies. At ZJITF, 87 foreign-invested projects with a total investment of 12.81 billion US Dollars were signed, 53 of which are large projects with the contractual foreign investment of 30 million US Dollars. These projects involved industries of tourism, transportation, public services, chemistry, mechanical equipment, electronic communications, papermaking etc. the investment came mainly from 26 countries and regions including USA, Thailand, Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, Denmark, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
The ZJITF organized 15 trade talks altogether. “Investment in Zhejiang” attracted 292 overseas companies and institutions and 881 representatives of local companies. 697 representatives attended overseas investment negotiation. 432 programs of overseas intelligence introduction were signed. In addition, the fair also signed 27 assistance projects to the Nagqu County of Tibet and the Uygur Autonomous Region of Xinjiang with a total investment of 8 billion Yuan.
The CICGF exhibits over 100,000 products from over 2000 enterprise. Except for local companies, 13 purchase teams of other province and cities attended the fair. 20 large multinational companies including Hong Kong Li&Fung Group, Japan Don Quijote Co., Ltd and Atico International Inc. (USA). 13,500 overseas purchasers brought a total export orders of 0.46 billion US Dollars. 176 cooperation programs were achieved in Zhejiang Export Exhibition with a total turnover of 18.35 million Yuan.
The 6th China Opening-up Forum brought new ideas to the development of Ningbo. The subject report of the forum, with the theme of “new changes in the world economy and further deepening of China’s reform and opening-up” attracted over 500 audiences. Six sub-forums were held with over 1000 audiences, including 3-D Printing and manufacturing in the future, development of overseas e-commerce, application and promotion of distributed new energy.
