Ningbo Week of Talent, Science and Technology Is Held

In this September, Ningbo will again welcome an annual event of wisdom. From September 19 to 25, Ningbo Week of Talent, Science and Technology, thousands of high-end talents all around the world with their scientific and technological programs will have face-to-face dialogues and interaction, which gathers power for the transformation and development of Ningbo economy.
It is said that since the event was initiated in 2006, Ningbo has introduced over 5500 high-end talents, 81 academician groups, 36 high-end research and developing centers, has signed over 200 scientific cooperation programs with total investment of 10 billion yuan. Currently, there are 1.48 million talents in Ningbo, among whom 45,000 talents are with middle or senior titles, 5000 talents are from overseas.
2014 Ningbo Week of Talent, Science and Technology emphasizes on talents introduction and training in the fields of urban economy, water treatment, new materials and e-commerce, so as to support the transformation and development of economy.
Information from the sponsor reveals that, compared with that of last year, the year’s event pays more attention to the interaction of innovation elements, such as talents, programs, capital, etc. meanwhile, it stresses more on the functions of enterprises according to the key points of transformation and development to make sure that enterprises can get benefits directly.
This event is divided into four series and 15 sub-activities as is scheduled. The first one is the series of talents introduction and training, the second one is scientific cooperation programs, the third one is high-end smart services in Ningbo, the fourth one is the interaction of innovation elements.
The whole event provides 8000 jobs available and 1000 programs of cooperation. In addition, 4500 enterprises and thousands of high-end talents with doctors degree engage in this event, which leads to 40,000 people in participation.
