Ningbo to build a demonstrative cultural tourism area

On September 26, The projects of "Happy Coast" and "Siming Valley", of Overseas Chinese Town, started in Yinzhou District. The investment of the two projects totals over 10 billion yuan. This indicates that Ningbo is entering a new stage of the cultural tourism industry with an effort to build a comprehensive demonstrative cultural tourism area of the Changjiang River Delta.
Overseas Chinese Town Group started to be engaged in the cultural tourism projects in the 1980s. It established China's first theme park "Beautiful China" and the "Happy Valley". With the 24 million visitors every year, Overseas Chinese Town Group ranks No.8 in the cultural tourism industry in the world.
The "Happy Coast" project is in the New Town of Yinzhou. It aims to be a themed cultural recreational project with distinct features. The project will have the world's larges music spring, a sea food area with distinct Ningbo taste, and a shopping street that combines Ningbo merchant culture and modern tastes. The "Happy Coast" will be China's first open cultural entertainment park.
The "Happy Coast" and "Siming Valley" projects are the largest cultural tourism projects that Overseas Chinese Town Group invests in a second-tier city. They will not only be the updated versions of the "Happy Coast" project in Shenzhen and the Eastern Overseas City" but also bear distinct Ningbo culture. The two projects, one in the urban area and the other in the mountain area, are the gap filling projects in Ningbo modern cultural tourism industry.
