More snow, sleet expected across city

According to the municipal meteorological center, Ningbo will see its first snow on Sunday, but just light snow or sleet. Weather authorities warn local commuters of the icy road conditions as the gradual lowering of temperature,.
The snow is caused by a mixing of a warm air from Southwest China and a cold and from North China.
The snow and sleet will hit the mountains area in Ningbo. According to the chief forecaster of local Municipal Meteorological Center, Tu Xiaoping, the steady rain could turn to sleet in mountainous area on Sunday morning and will gradually intensify. Heavy snow or even blizzard is possible in some areas.
The plains area will still be overcast with light rain in the morning and turn to sleet or snow in the afternoon. Tu said that plain region is unlikely to see heavy snow as the current forecasts indicates.
The rain and snow is expected to last for two days. The city will still see light sleet or snow on Monday.
Tu said that although the snowfall is expected to end this Tuesday, but the rainy weather will continue to this Thursday.
