19th Ningbo International Housing Expo Opens

On Oct.31, the 19th Ningbo International Housing Expo opened ceremoniously, which aims at showcasing the growth of the Ningbo City and the prospects and offering spot sale of furnishing products for smart and environment-friendly homes, etc. The Housing Expo shall help citizens learn about the city’s development conveniently, and experience the new styles of urban life in livable city.
Entering Hall No.1 of Ningbo International Conference and Exhibition Center, people can see the “Lively City • Livable Ningbo——2014 Ningbo Urban Construction Theme Exhibition” hosted by the Ningbo Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Committee. Though the hall is not big, such three exhibitions as Approaching Ningbo• New Urban Space, Feeling Ningbo• New City Speed, Enjoying Ningbo• New City Quality are held, showing Ningbo central urban area’s key block construction, key construction projects of Ningbo rail transportation, roads and bridges and Three Rivers and Six Banks quality improvement campaign，etc. In the exhibition, more than 10 sculptures are on display, which have unique shapes and profound meanings, attracting many citizens.
This year's expo has attracted about 1,000 brands, involving the products of home decoration, kitchen utensils, energy conservation, doors, windows and pipelines, painting materials, IT-based home appliances, home textiles and fabrics, solar energy, and new construction materials, etc. The exhibition focuses on new construction materials, smart and environmentally friendly construction products. On the spot, a worker demonstrated a negative ion wall that adds negative ions to the air. He said “With this, the air contains more than 6,000 negative ions, better than that in a forest.” The solar photovoltaic tile is rather arresting. It is learnt that this kind of photovoltaic tile can not only substitute the tiles used for shielding rain and sunlight, prevent leakage and insulate heat, but also generate electricity. By the end of 2014, more than 2000 farmhouses can use the solar photovoltaic tiles firstly in Longguan, Yinzhou.
Hall No.3 is for real estate. Compared with past years, real estate enterprises tend to be more economical in decorating the booths, with less gimmicks and offering more benefits. There is a sale section in the exhibition area, without any decorations. Each counter has got only one desk, one chair and one worker, ready to sell bargain homes to interested buyers.
Because of the changeability of housing policies, the real estate trading center of Ningbo Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Committee and provident fund center both pay much attention to the field manning, providing policy-consultant services for the citizens doubtful about housing matters.
