Debugging of the Second Phase of Ningbo North District Sewage Treatment Plant Conducted

As the Ningbo Municipal Government’s livelihood project, the second phase of Ningbo North District Sewage Treatment Plant was officially put into operation recently. The total investment of the project is 540 million yuan. The daily sewage treatment capacity is 100,000 tons and the daily renewable water production capacity is 60,000 tons.
“The first phase of Ningbo North District Sewage Treatment Plant also has a daily sewage treatment capacity of 100,000 tons. It has been operated for more than eight years since 2007. It is already at full operation.” said Shen Hao, the General Manager of Ningbo Water Supply Co., Ltd. “We need to enlarge its capacity.”
The second phase of Ningbo North District Sewage Treatment Plant began in the second half of 2013. Today, it not only achieves the daily sewage treatment capacity of 100,000 tons, but also becomes Ningbo’s first class sewage treatment plant. Its main service areas cover nearly 180 square kilometers, including Jiangbei District, Zhenhai District, Haishu District and the Higher Education Park, benefiting more than 400,000 citizens and greatly improving the urban water resources environment and the energy saving and emission reduction capability.
