Zhoushan Port, Ningbo has reached 2.06 million TEUs
At 8:00 am on the 29th, under the supervision of Beilun Customs under Ningbo Customs, a Chinese international navigation vessel "Xinmingzhou 60" successfully docked at berth 1 of the container terminal in Chuanshan Port Area, Zhoushan Port, Ningbo.
This is the third international vessel that has sailed at this berth since it passed the pre acceptance of the expanded opening of the Ningbo municipal port on July 23 this year.
Since its temporary opening to the public in January 2022, berth 1 in Chuanshan Port has achieved a container throughput of 2.06 million TEUs.
The No.1 berth in Chuanshan Port Area is a professional container berth with a construction scale of 70000 tons. The berth has a total length of 330 meters and a width of 55 meters, with a designed annual throughput capacity of 620000 TEUs. The berth started construction in December 2018, finished completion and acceptance in April 2021, and was first approved for temporary opening to the public in January 2022. On October 28, 2023, the State Council approved the expansion of the opening of three port areas in Ningbo Port, namely Chuanshan Port, Xiangshan Port, and Shipu Port, marking the completion of port opening for all eight port areas in Ningbo Port.
The No.1 berth in Chuanshan Port Area has passed the pre acceptance of the expanded opening of Ningbo Municipal Port, which is a pre preparation and rehearsal for the berth to successfully pass the national level acceptance and achieve formal opening.
