The Certificate of Origin helps enterprises to travel smoothly

In the first half of the year, the value of the beneficiaries reached US$2.7 billion

In the first half of this year, Ningbo Customs issued 67,000 certificates of origin for free trade agreements to countries that jointly built the “Belt and Road”, an increase of 18.6% over the same period last year, and the value of the goods enjoyed reached US$2.7 billion, a year-on-year increase of 17.4%.

On May 1 this year, the China-Eritrea Free Trade Agreement came into force, which is the 20th free trade agreement signed by China with other countries. In just two months, Ningbo Customs issued 161 certificates of origin under the China-Eritrea Free Trade Agreement, with

a value of US$8.03 million. Ningbo Beimeng Furniture Co., Ltd. applied for the first China-Eritrea Free Trade Agreement Certificate of Origin in Haishu Customs. With this certificate, about $95,000 for barber chairs and other products can enjoy tariff concessions, with about $2,850 in relief.

“Benefiting from the tariff dividend under the China-Eritrea Free Trade Agreement, the import tariff on barber chairs and other products in Ecuador will be gradually reduced from 15% to zero in five years, and the competitiveness of products will be further improved.” Guo Aimin, the person in charge of Beimeng furniture, said.

In the Belt and Road partnership, the trade report card between Ningbo and Peru is also gratifying. According to statistics, in the first half of this year, Ningbo Customs issued 2,794 certificates of origin for the China-Peru Free Trade Agreement, a year-on-year increase of 18.5%, and the value of the preferential goods was 75.31 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 6.2%.

Taking Ningbo Zhaosheng Stationery Co., Ltd. as an example, in the first half of the year, it has applied for 66 certificates of origin of the China-Peru Free Trade Agreement, a year-on-year increase of 65%, and the value of the preferential goods is about 2.26 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 68.8%. Lou Ke, the person in charge of the company, said that the company mainly exports stationery and other related products to Peru and other countries, and the import tariffs in these countries have been reduced from 6% to zero
