The "China Ningbo No.1" sailing team settled in the Xiangshan Asian Sailing Center in Ningbo, and the 2024 Asian Volleyball United Beach Volleyball Intercontinental Cup final was successfully held... After the Hangzhou Asian Games, Xiangshan is striving to build a city of marine sports events. As of now, the Asian Sailing Center has received a total of 170000 visitors, including over a thousand members of the yacht club.
Xiangshan is surrounded by the sea on three sides, with a sea area of 6618 square kilometers, a coastline of 988 kilometers, and 505 islands, possessing unique marine resources and conditions for the development of marine sports. This place boasts both the tranquility and beauty of the inner sea, as well as the dynamism and passion of the outer sea. It's really great. The Center has a 140 square kilometer yacht cruising area, of which 109 yacht berths can legally carry out activities such as event supply and berth rental. In May of this year, the Center obtained the first port operation license in the province. The Asian Sailing Center, which is more open, inclusive, and dynamic, is welcoming more and more sailboats and yachts to settle and anchor. As of now, 44 boats have settled in the Center, with a growth rate of over 50% for three consecutive months.
How to continuously activate new landmarks of coastal sports and create an endless urban landscape? Xiangshan focuses on the theme of "ocean sports + coastal tourism", promoting the popularization and industrialization of ocean sports through exciting events and sports activities.
In June of this year, the semifinals and finals of the 2024 Asian Volleyball Federation Beach Volleyball Intercontinental Cup, as well as the Paris Olympic Beach Volleyball Qualification Tournament, kicked off at the Banbianshan Beach Volleyball Center in Xiangshan. The former Asian Games venue once again welcomed the top Asian beach volleyball event. As the first venue in Zhejiang Province capable of hosting international A-level water sports competitions, the Asian Sailing Center has established a three-level event system of "domestic and international events+independent brand events+mass leisure events". It has hosted multiple national events such as the 2024 National Sailing Championship and the National Youth OP Sailing Race, attracting top athletes to participate. At the same time, high-end base associations such as the Zhejiang Sailing Association and the Youth Training and Competition Center of the China Sailing and Windsurfing Association have successively settled in, further promoting the diversified development of the Xiangshan marine sports industry.
